Sugar Scrub!

This type of scrub was a hit back when i was living in OK and made them & brought them to the fam in GA!! All this bad boy is, is sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and scented oil if added. Even though only a few simple ingredients make up this scrub, i must say its pretty amazing. :) It has such a soft & silk feel and makes your skin feel great! It is said that sugar scrubs improve skins appearance and texture while peeling away dry dead skin cells. Some people, when making sugar scrubs add color dyes but i like mine this way with out the dyes!!!

How exciting. We made it last night, so we do not have a whole lot of our crafts and products on there yet. We also found out that we could put our Etsy shop right on our Facebook page as well!!! So we did. ;)

Pet tutu.

Okay first off, isnt she adorable?! :) 
She is modeling the very first tutu i made! I made it over a year ago, & it didnt turn out as well as i was hoping. But as the saying goes practice makes perfect ;) We can make these for most pets, and any colors requested. Pricing depends on how many colors and ribbons used and size. Also, the small tutus make cute rear view mirror decor. I hung a pink & black one with pink leopard print ribbon in my vehicle but it always got taken down when my hubby was driving haha :D MEN!!! Coffee Scrub.

COFFEE SCRUB- helps decrease cellulite & reduce varicose veins. It removes dead skin cells. 

We will be making & selling this heaven in a jar! There will be two types: dry coffee scrub & then with body/massage oil. Also, we can make them with or without fragrant oils.

The pictures in this post are dry coffee scrub with Sandalwood Vanilla Bean fragrant oil.

The packaging will be in mason jars, and mugs. & can be decorated how you would like them.

We are still looking for more packaging ideas, but so far these two are our favorites! 

Directions: Apply to wet skin while in the shower, doing so in circular motions. rinse away 

:)

Pet bed/pillow

I actually started making these because i wanted a bed for my little chiweenie! Everyone I showed loved them! I set them up at local pet groomers when i was living in oklahoma and even sold a few at the local flea market. & of course my little chiyo loved hers. :)

New Diaper Cake

I Just love to make Diaper Cakes. There is so much you can do with them! You can have just a basic cake made from Diapers and Ribbons or you can add receiving blankets, lotion, bodywash, diaper cream, pacifiers, baby toys, stuff animals or just about anything for a baby! These are great gifts for an expecting or new mommy or for a centerpiece for a baby shower. They can be made to match baby shower theme or you can plan the shower around the diaper cake.  Every newborn will need diapers and I've never heard a new mom say, I have enough diapers.

Shopping Trip July 25

I have been searching all over for a trunk to use for my Grandsons Birthday Pirate Party. I went in Goodwill hoping I would find something that could be used, but left empty handed. I decided to stop by Hobby Lobby to see what they had. I found a decent size trunk ( I could use for goodies etc.) The regular price was 29.99 but it was on sale for 50% off. I was so excited! $15 is not a bad price, since it can be used for storage after the party.

I went to Publix to score the ladies speed stick deoderants. They were 1.97 bogo. I used my .50 coupons that were in Sunday's paper which doubled to 1.00. That made my 6 deoderants FREE! I like to save my .50 or less coupons for places that double that was I get more money off.

At Kroger I grabbed the oral-b indicator toothbrushes that were 10 for 10. I still had a few 2.00 of 2 coupons. I ended up paying 2.00 for 10 toothbrushes. I used my 2.00 off coupons for gwaltney bacon on the 2for $6 deal they had. So I got 2 packs of bacon for $2.00

No matter what I do in life, I feel I have already touched the stars and held the moon in my hands. If tomorrow brings sorrow, I still have so much to be thankful for. Party Planning for Grandsons 2nd Birthday

My grandson loves the pirates that come on the Disney Channel. So we decided this year to give him a Pirate Birthday. On mine and my daughters shopping trip this week I started looking for pirate stuff for the party.We went to the local party shop and found lots of stuff, but even with my coupon it would be expensive. When we went in the Dollar store I could not believe it, they had all the same stuff for a Pirate party and it was only $1.00 for each thing. Talk about a deal! That was a saving of $3 to $4 on each item!
That just goes to show you can save money even when you are not using a coupon! You just have to be patient enough to look for the deals.

I saved over $40 by buying at the Dollar Store!

I (Laverne) have been busy trying to figure out blogging and creating our facebook page. Ashley's internet will not be connected at her new place until the 1st week of August so it 's just poor mommy out in the world of tech all alone..haha. I am looking forward to her internet installation more than she is I believe. So bare with me, Ashley will be joining us soon and fixing anything I mess up!

Welcome to Hearts & Crafts! We are Laverne and Ashley, a mother/daughter teaming together to blog about our crafts, gifts and of course our couponing.
We are new to couponing and have learned so much from other couponers who are experts at saving! Before getting advise from other couponer's pages, coupons were just pieces of paper that would allow us to save .50 or more on our purchases.
